The La Hornilla Plant in Chocalán has belonged to the La Hornilla Agricultural Society since 2004. It houses packing plants for cherries, stone fruits, and citrus fruits. It has over 16,000 square meters of built area, including cold storage, cooling facilities, warehouses, packing facilities, offices, and staff restrooms.
It is located 5.0 km south of Melipilla and 73.4 km southwest of Santiago. The access roads are paved, with permanent traffic and in excellent condition. It can be easily reached via Route 78 (Autopista del Sol).
The plant is close to the fruit production areas, 56 kilometers from the port of San Antonio and 100 kilometers from the port of Valparaíso. It is located in a geographical area free of quarantines for pests such as fruit flies, which greatly benefits customers who process their fruit at the plant’s facilities.
